Marketing and Communications
Mid Level
Utilidata is a fast-growing NVIDIA-backed AI company enabling AI data centers to dynamically orchestrate power and unlock more compute capacity from existing energy infrastructure. For over a decade, we have applied AI to the electric grid — bringing real-time visibility and power-flow control to complex energy infrastructure. Our Karman platform, built on a custom NVIDIA module, brings that same capability to AI data centers, giving operators a way to better use the power already available to them.

We’re looking for someone to execute our event strategy for industry and customer events that showcase the expertise of our team and demonstrate the capabilities of Karman. This role reports to the VP, Marketing & Communications. In close collaboration with the marketing and communications team  and the broader go-to-market team, this individual will play a key role in shaping our presence at industry events. Guided by our business objectives and outcomes, they will identify which industry events to attend, determine the appropriate level of participation and sponsorship, and manage event execution from strategy through onsite delivery. This role takes a holistic communications and marketing approach by curating sales and marketing collateral, coordinating social media promotion, managing logistics, preparing Utilidata team members, and providing onsite support as needed. The ideal candidate is collaborative, adaptive, and highly organized, with a proven ability to work cross-functionally. This is a remote position based in the United States, working with distributed teams across the country.

Responsibilities
  • Execute event strategy and planning for both internal and external events, ensuring alignment with business goals and outcomes
  • Manage logistics for conferences and tradeshows including venue coordination, vendor management, booth logistics, attendee support, hotel and dinner logistics, and onsite support for large tradeshows
  • Identify and evaluate industry events that advance Utilidata’s positioning in the data center market; make recommendations on participation and sponsorship opportunities
  • Negotiate and coordinate sponsorships, speaker opportunities, and exhibitor packages to maximize ROI
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, and leadership teams as needed to ensure event messaging, materials, and outcomes are consistent with strategic objectives
  • Support internal event execution, as needed, which could include team strategy summits, planning sessions, leadership offsites, or onsite customer meetings and events, ensuring smooth logistics and positive employee and customer experience

Minimum Qualifications
  • 4+ years of professional experience managing corporate event strategy for conferences, trade shows, or other large-scale events
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage sponsorships, exhibitor packages, and speaker opportunities
  • Proven track record of leading end-to-end event logistics, including vendor management, budget tracking, identifying marketing collateral needs, and preparing staff, including senior leaders
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to align event strategy with business objectives
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of time

Enhanced Qualifications (Nice to Have)
  • Experience in energy, technology, or data center industries is ideal
  • Familiarity with tradeshow conferences that serve technology or data center markets
